Conclusion of the Recollection

The celebration of the Lauds and the Meditation preached by Fr. Jose Vettath marked the opening of the 2nd day of the Provincial Chapter.  In the meditation talk, the animator made us reflect on the story of Zacheus. ``Zacheus was short in stature, which is our experience too.  Anything that we are short of, should not discourage us but make us feel the need for God as Zacheus felt,`` commented the preacher.

In the second talk, the animator highlighted the delicate task of governance and animation by the leaders of the Community, which is to be exercised with love and dedication.  The presence of the Superiors (Provincial and local Superior) in the community is indispensable for discipline, growth, fulfillment of its mission and the smooth running of the community,`` opined the animator in his thought provoking talk.

The recollection in preparation for the Provincial Chapter concluded with an adoration service during which the animator highlighted our frailty, woundedness and brokenness personified in the story of the Samaritan woman.`` Our thirst for Christ can restore our wholeness,`` pointed out the preacher.
