NISCORT Director interacts with BCTE teacher trainees

Dimapur, Mar. 8. It was a rare privilege for the teacher trainees of Bosco College of Teacher Education (BCTE), Dimapur, to have Fr. Jude Botelho, Director of National Institute of Social Communications, Research and Training (NISCORT), Delhi, in their midst and interact with them on 6 March, at the college premises, on the theme ``Media and Education``

Before he addressed the assembly he was given warm welcome by the seven members of the staff and hundred students of the college.

In the course of the interaction, the Director was able to drive home in the students that media plays an important role in learning. He made a brief presentation of the modern media, especially Internet and all the facilities that are provided in that medium. He emphasized the positive aspects of the medium in the learning and education.

Emphasizing on the positive aspects of modern media, he said that communications today is instantaneous, trans-national and multi-media. Living, learning and leading in the digital age is a great challenge for educators of today.
